Your WANDLER electric scooter won't start? No "Ready" message on the display?

If your WANDLER electric scooter won't start and the display doesn't show "Ready," there could be several reasons. A common cause is that the side stand isn't retracted, or that the microswitch on the side stand is stuck or defective.

Is the side stand folded in?

First, check that the side stand is properly folded in. Our electric scooters are equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents the scooter from starting while the side stand is extended. Fold the side stand in and try starting the scooter again.

The microswitch on the side stand is stuck?

Check if the microswitch is dirty or if it can be moved with your finger. Often, cleaning or manually operating it is sufficient.

Is the microswitch on the side stand defective?

The side stand microswitch is a safety feature that prevents the scooter from starting when the side stand is extended. Check the side stand microswitch for signs of wear or damage. If the microswitch is defective, it may prevent the scooter from starting. In this case, the microswitch should be replaced. You can find the correct replacement part here: Side stand microswitch
