WANDLER Buyer's Guide

WANDLER Electric Scooter Range & Battery

What range is realistic with a WANDLER electric scooter? Here you will find an overview by model, battery, motor power and riding speed. The information serves as practical guidance values and helps you choose the right model and battery variant for your application area.

Briefly Explained

WANDLER electric scooters are offered with 52V batteries. The overview shows practical range values for the 52V 26Ah battery and the 52V 35Ah battery. The actual range depends on riding style, rider weight, load, temperature, tire pressure, inclines, terrain, stop-and-go and for the WANDLER A/E also on the use of all-wheel drive.

WANDLER Electric Scooter Range and Battery with removable battery and charger
The battery is a central factor for the range, charging behavior, and everyday usability of your WANDLER electric scooter.

The two WANDLER battery variants

Standard Battery

52V 26Ah

The suitable battery variant for normal everyday rides, short to medium distances, and a good balance of weight, cost, and range.

Extended Range Battery

52V 35Ah

The larger battery variant for longer distances, more frequent use, commuting, camping or more range reserve in everyday life.

Range in everyday life

Why range can vary

The actual range of an electric scooter always depends on several factors: riding style, rider weight, load, ambient temperature, tire pressure, inclines, terrain, stop-and-go traffic, and selected riding mode can significantly influence consumption. For the WANDLER A/E, the use of all-wheel drive also plays a role. The specified values therefore serve as practical guidance for model and battery selection.

500W · 20 km/h

WANDLER L/E Range

The WANDLER L/E is designed for quiet urban mobility, short distances, city use, campsites, and 20 km/h use. At low speeds, a particularly high range is possible.

WANDLER K/E Range

The WANDLER K/E is the 45 km/h model for everyday use, commuting, leisure, and longer distances. With increasing speed, the range decreases as energy consumption rises.

All-Wheel Drive / Dual Drive

WANDLER A/E Range with All-Wheel Drive

The WANDLER A/E is designed for more traction and higher power output. When using all-wheel drive and especially at full power, the range decreases more sharply than with economical driving.

Electricity Costs & Consumption

How much does it cost to charge a WANDLER electric scooter?

The pure electricity costs of a WANDLER electric scooter are very low. Depending on the battery, electricity price, riding style, and achieved range, the energy costs are roughly around 1 cent per kilometer. With a calm riding style, the pure electricity costs can be even lower; at high speeds, inclines, heavy loads, or intensive all-wheel drive use, they can be slightly higher.

The calculation is simple: battery capacity in kilowatt-hours multiplied by the electricity price gives the approximate cost for a full charge. Actual costs may vary slightly due to charging losses, electricity tariff, driving style, temperature, and battery condition.

52V 26Ah Battery

approx. 1.35 kWh

At an example electricity price of €0.35/kWh, a full charge costs approximately €0.47 without charging losses.

52V 35Ah Battery

approx. 1.82 kWh

At an example electricity price of €0.35/kWh, a full charge costs approximately €0.64 without charging losses.

Cost per kilometer

approx. 1 cent/km

Depending on the model, battery, riding style and electricity price, the pure electricity costs are roughly around 1 cent per kilometer.

Example: Electricity costs by model and riding style

The following examples show why electricity costs per kilometer are so low. Calculations are based on an example electricity price of €0.35/kWh. Charging losses and individual electricity tariffs are not included.

L/E · 20 km/h

particularly efficient

With the WANDLER L/E, particularly low electricity costs are possible due to the lower speed. For a quiet 20 km/h ride, the pure energy costs are often significantly below or around 1 cent per kilometer.

K/E · 45 km/h

approx. 1 cent/km

For the WANDLER K/E, the value for typical 45 km/h use is roughly around 1 cent per kilometer, depending on battery, driving style, load, temperature, and route.

A/E · All-wheel drive

depends on power demand

With the WANDLER A/E, costs depend more heavily on how often the all-wheel/dual drive is used. At full power, consumption increases, but remains very low compared to many internal combustion vehicles.

Important: Electricity costs are not the total running costs

The figure of approx. 1 cent per kilometer refers to the pure energy costs for electricity. Insurance, wear parts, tires, brakes, maintenance, accessories, or possible repairs are not included. Nevertheless, the electricity costs per kilometer are a strong argument for electric short distances, commutes and regular everyday journeys.

Everyday influence

What influences the range?

Driving style

Consistent driving saves energy. Frequent strong acceleration reduces the range.

Rider weight & load

More weight means more energy consumption, especially on inclines and in stop-and-go traffic.

Temperature

Low temperatures can reduce the usable battery capacity and thus the range.

Tire pressure & surface

Too low tire pressure, soft ground, gravel, or strong unevenness increase consumption.

Inclines

Hilly routes require significantly more energy than flat rides.

All-wheel drive use

The WANDLER A/E offers more traction with all-wheel drive, but consumes more energy with heavy use.

Frequently asked questions about range and battery

Is the range always the same?

No. The range depends on driving style, rider weight, load, temperature, tire pressure, inclines, surface and stop-and-go traffic. The values serve as a practical guide.

Why does the range decrease at higher speeds?

The faster you drive, the higher the energy consumption. Especially at 40 to 45 km/h, the range decreases significantly compared to slower driving.

Which battery is suitable for longer distances?

For longer distances or more reserve, the 52V 35Ah battery is suitable. It offers significantly longer range compared to the 52V 26Ah battery.

Does the all-wheel drive of the WANDLER A/E consume more energy?

Yes, active and heavy use of all-wheel drive increases energy consumption. However, the A/E offers more traction, especially on inclines, unpaved surfaces or more demanding applications.
