Note on using this manual

This online manual serves as a digital overview for the use and maintenance of your WANDLER electric scooter. The supplied vehicle documents, the operating permit or COC/EEC documents, and the applicable legal regulations are always decisive.

Before each ride, check the technical condition of your vehicle and use the WANDLER only as intended.

Quick Access

1. General Notes

WANDLER electric scooters are electric vehicles with seats and road approval. Speed, vehicle class, motorization, and application area differ depending on the model.

  • WANDLER L/E: 20 km/h, ideal for short distances, local areas, and camping.
  • WANDLER K/E: 45 km/h, robust core model for everyday use, city, and commuting.
  • WANDLER A/E: 45 km/h, all-wheel-drive model for increased traction and special applications.

Store all vehicle documents carefully. These include, in particular, the operating manual, proof of purchase, insurance documents, and vehicle documents.

2. Safety Instructions

Safe use of the vehicle takes precedence. Ride defensively, predictively, and only with a technically sound vehicle.

  • Before each ride, check brakes, tires, lighting, and steering.
  • Only ride on approved traffic areas.
  • Do not make any technical modifications without expert review.
  • Observe the permissible payload and permissible total weight.
  • If unusual noises, loss of power, or malfunctions occur, do not continue riding.
  • Use battery and charger only as instructed.
Important: Improper use, technical modifications, or overloading can lead to vehicle damage and safety risks.
3. Scope of Delivery

The exact scope of delivery may vary depending on the model, variant, and order. Typically, it includes:

6. Before the First Ride

Before the first ride, a careful inspection is required.

  • Visually inspect vehicle for damage.
  • Check tires for correct fit and visible damage.
  • Check brake function while stationary and at very low speed.
  • Check front and rear lighting.
  • Check handlebars, seat, and folding mechanisms for secure fit.
  • Check battery charge level.
  • Ensure insurance and required driving license or test certificate.
Recommendation: Perform the first ride on a quiet, open area to familiarize yourself with acceleration, braking behavior, and riding feel.
7. Battery and Charging

The battery is one of the most important components of your WANDLER electric scooter. Proper handling extends its lifespan and increases operational safety.

  • Only use the appropriate charger.
  • Do not operate battery and charger unattended in an unsuitable environment.
  • Do not charge if there is visible damage to the battery, cable, or charger.
  • Protect from moisture, extreme heat, and frost.
  • Do not open, tamper with, or damage the battery.
  • Regularly check the charge level during prolonged non-use.

The range depends, among other things, on rider weight, temperature, riding style, terrain, tire pressure, inclines, and battery condition.

8. Controls and Display

Depending on the model and equipment, the controls may vary slightly. Familiarize yourself with the switches and indicators before the first ride.

WANDLER Electric Scooter Display and Speedometer

  • Speed
  • Battery level
  • Driving mode or power indicator
  • Lighting status
  • Error or warning messages

Only pay attention to the displays while riding in a way that does not impair your attention to traffic.

9. Riding, Braking, and Parking

The WANDLER should be ridden in a controlled, defensive manner, appropriate to the surroundings. Accelerate smoothly and avoid sudden steering or braking maneuvers.

  • Take a secure stance before setting off.
  • Start slowly and check vehicle behavior.
  • Plan braking distance according to surface, speed, and weight.
  • Be especially careful on wet surfaces, leaves, gravel, or uneven terrain.
  • Ride on inclines and declines at an adapted speed.
  • Do not overload the vehicle.
  • When parking, securely extend the kickstand and choose a firm surface.
A/E Note: The A/E offers more traction and reserves due to all-wheel drive. However, this does not replace an adapted riding style.
10. Care and Cleaning

Regular care maintains the function and appearance of your WANDLER electric scooter.

  • Regularly clean the vehicle from dirt, dust, and road salt.
  • Do not aim high-pressure cleaners directly at electrical components.
  • Carefully clean the display, battery, charging port, and plug connections.
  • After riding in wet conditions, park the vehicle to dry.
  • Regularly check moving parts.
11. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is important for safety, value retention, and reliable use.

  • Have the brake system checked regularly.
  • Check tire tread and tire pressure.
  • Check screw connections and folding mechanisms.
  • Check lighting and electrical functions.
  • Check battery and charger for visible damage.
  • Contact service if unusual driving behavior occurs.
Recommendation: Document maintenance and inspections in the maintenance record.
12. Troubleshooting

If your WANDLER is not working as usual, first check the simple causes.

  • Is the battery sufficiently charged?
  • Is the charger connected correctly?
  • Are visible cables or plugs damaged?
  • Is the kickstand fully folded in?
  • Does the display show an error message?
  • Do the brakes, lights, and controls respond normally?
Important: Do not continue riding if there are safety-critical faults. Contact WANDLER support or a suitable service center.
